Information: Cameron Black has served throughout the Strathclyde Fire and Rescue area in a number of different roles and posts. Starting off at Clydebank Fire Station, he completed his probationary period, following this Cameron transferred to North and South Lanarkshire areas where he was promoted to Watch Commander, in that role he worked in a number of stations including Hamilton, Motherwell, Bellshill and Coatbridge, during that time he also worked within Personnel, Operations and Training departments at both Service and Command Headquarters.

During his time at Headquarters he was seconded to the Scottish Government to develop a framework document on diversity within the Scottish Fire Service. In 2005 he was tasked with the development of a new Road Traffic Collision (RTC) section as part of the new Technical Rescue Training Centre, in his new role as Head of RTC Training Development he undertook to enhance existing skills of operational personnel and to further develop partnerships with colleagues in the Police, Ambulance and Medical services. Recently he has just completed a secondment to the World and United Kingdom Rescue Organisations where he was asked to develop capacity within the International Development Programme.

Earlier this year Cameron took up post as Station Commander at Clarkson Community Fire Station.
