Regular viewers of this site will be aware just how useful a resource these are for the public of East Renfrewshire.

However on 15th June 2011 we received this email from Giffnock Police Office.

Due to an ongoing review by Strathclyde Police Force Headquarters, with immediate effect, no media updates will be issued by Giffnock Area Command Support until further notice

Having had no further update we sent this letter on 19th August 2011

We were informed on 15th June 2011 that due to an ongoing review there would be no updates until further notice.

Could you oblige and advise when this review will be concluded and the alerts / updates re commenced.

I'm waiting for a "No Crime Since June!" story in the Extra

Is it just Giffnock or all other areas in the Strathclyde area?

Hmmm.

This site has been providing crime alerts for three years and now they are having a review and stopping whilst they are doing it?

Was June not just after her that cannot be spoken about spoke to the new policeman at the inner cartel meeting and he was told this site was political and he withdrew Giffnock police from the site.

If these alerts / updates have been stopped how does the extra and the barrhead news still get to know what crime is happening in the area other than from the polis.

I too am interested is it only Giffnock or throughout Strathclyde.

Is the timing of this not a bit suspect?
