Grizzly, I take your point. I understand that campaigners should not appear to be more intelligent than the people theey are trying to persuade - the key word here being "appear".

However, does it strike you as a little ironic that people will vote for something or not based on whether the person trying to persuade is not very bright?

Cllr, it strikes me as mair than ironic that folk will vote for somethin thae dinnae ken onythin aboot.
And yes, when the facts are explained tae them, they generally agree wi ye, but if ye try tae lecture folk, they tend tae walk away and/or yer message gets lost.
