Now we are aware that there are two elected members who are open and transparent.

17 of the 20 have nothing to hide with regards to council tax. So why then are 18 refusing to comment?

With an election round the corner risking the finger of suspicion being pointed in their corner.

Is it as was said on another thread that irrespective of their party or none, that they are members of THE PARTY under supreme leader Fletcher.

Party or opposition cannot break ranks, is this the tip of the iceberg?

Like the functions, taxies, mileage, council houses, electric cars etc.

(Did the candidates for Barrhead and Newton Mearns pay the council any monies back regarding their mileage claims?)

(Why was the three's income not intercepted, it is not as if they do not know who finances them)

Or was the CEO and her deputy looking the other way and Lorraine too busy 'doing a Montague' in Edinburgh?

LM and CI, this is called humor. Please do not take it seriously and certainly do not get your knickers in a twist about it.

To the Three
There could be a very simple explanation for having overdue council tax, e-mail us and we will print the text in full without any editing.

To the 18
Do the right thing.

Being in debt is a terrible thing for those affected by it and it is not to be ridiculed. What is important is that openness, transparency and honesty exist. The public have a right to know and when you accept the office of councillor you lose certain rights that you had as a private citizen, you are now a public figure.

As usual with ERC one story leads into another, this time is it about 18 elected member's allegedly putting two fingers up to the voting public. We hope that figure will reduce.
