Again congrats to ERNHW on raising this and having it picked up by the BBC.

There are specific laws in Scotland regarding collection of council tax e.g. It's the one debt that can be pursued for 20 years.
Why are Cllrs. not pursued the same way as ordinary residents? Where does it say they are entitled to special treatment to delay enforcement and collection?
Cllrs. Should be the easiest to collect arrears from simply by deducting it from their council pay. They can arrest anyone else's wages so why not their own elected members?
Perhaps someone in ERC could explain as we are discussing a national rather local disgrace?
