Previously from the Head of Environment -
'I can confirm that the Director of Environment did commission an updated stock condition report in relation to Eastwood Leisure Centre.'

(The report is being withheld from Council residents/Taxpayers for 3 months)

Update on current progress of report from Head of Environment -

I can confirm that copies of the report have been provided to the Chief Executive and the Director of Education.

The Director of Environment has discussed this report informally in the course of normal business, but no written records are kept of such informal discussions so I am not in a position to provide you with any specific dates.

The report has been discussed briefly with the Leader of the Council, in his role as Leader and as Convener with responsibility for assets.

The Director is currently looking to schedule a report to Cabinet, but no date has yet been set for this meeting. No discussion with any elected member has been scheduled in advance of the Cabinet report.

In relation to future discussions, the Director himself will consider when (and with whom) he needs to discuss the report, prior to any report to Cabinet being finalised.

I trust this clarifies the position.

Reply from Cllr Stewart Miller -

Dear Sir

Thank you for your correspondence and I note all you write

But I am not going to form a view until I hear all the proposals. I will listen to the proposals as they come forward from the Trust and then form a view when I have all the relevant information

But I note your concerns

Kind regards

Stewart
