Renfrewshire Council decided not to web cast committee meetings

What has Renfrewshire Councils decision have to do with East Renfrewshire?

Not one council in the land broadcasts direct to social media

Oh yes there are, should have asked Mr Google to help with your research. That is how we found councils who do.

I would definitely not recommend going down that route

She did not qualify that statement, nor did anyone ask her to.

We will ask now, why not?

Dear Cllr Ireland,

You made a comment at the recent full Council meeting when referring to a motion that proposed using social media to broadcast council meetings.

Your comment was 'I would definitely not recommend going down that route'.

Could you oblige and explain why you would not recommend that?

Kind Regards

Cllr Grant spoke and, God Bless her, she asked if she could be told "how many people tune in to listen to these things".

She is after all approaching 80, having been born in September 1940.

We would also love to have possession of these figures and a FOI request has just been responded to in the past few minutes with these details.

Eamonn Daly answered that he could provide the data. Namely the numbers viewing live and the numbers viewing archived.

Provost Fletcher then came away with his now very new and frequent saying, "We do not have it now but we will get it to you OFFLINE".

Is this code for we will not provide it for the information of the public, it will only go to you and not any other Cllrs.?

Almost forgot to mention, Cllr Grant did not support the motion and abstained.
