The report in question is the Business and Financial Review of the Leisure Trust.

As a result of Freedom of Information Request/Review/Appeal the heavily redacted report has been previously posted under topic -

‘The Council does not want you to see this Council commissioned Business and Financial Review of the Leisure Trust’

You can read it here -

Why were the Council/Leisure Trust so desperate to hide/bury this report?

FOI response - extract from email from ERC Chief Officer – Legal and Procurement -

Report is NOT ACCURATE -

'Having liaised with Anthony McReavy, Chief Executive of the Leisure Trust, he has advised that he does not believe disclosure of any further parts of the Report are in the public interest as disclosure into the public domain will undermine confidence in ERCL on the basis of a report which the Trust are not satisfied is accurate or properly reflective of its business.'

Report DISPUTED -

'He also considers that disclosure of what was, until now, considered a confidential disputed report will lead to friction and possible dispute between the Trust Board and the Council to the ultimate detriment of Trust services to the public............'

The report was presented and discussed at Leisure Trust Board Meeting on 17 April 2018.

It was not received enthusiastically by the Board -

Minutes Leisure Trust Board Meeting - 17 April 2018

Solace in Business – ERCLT Review

The findings and conclusions of the draft report were discussed.

The ERC Chief Executive (LM - Lorraine McMillan) spoke at length about her view of the issues.

The Chair (Jim Wilson) responded robustly to question those views.

NS(Dr. Noreen Q. Siddiqui) expressed unhappiness at the tone of the address by LM(Lorraine McMillan).
