TREE men have been arrested and charged in connection with conspiracy to commit fireraising after police stopped a car in East Renfrewshire.
The Ford Fiesta was pulled over in Netherton Road, Newton Mearns, at around 10.55pm on Tuesday.
Police confirmed that three men, aged 22, 26 and 28, are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.
Chief Inspector Bryan McGeogh, Area Commander for East Renfrewshire, said: "Whilst investigations are ongoing, there will continue to be additional police patrols carried out in the Newton Mearns area.
"I would like to reassure the community that there is not believed to be any risk to the wider public."
