|Strathclyde Fire and Rescue in partnership with ERNHW|
Strathclyde Fire & Rescue is committed to making the communities within its area safe places to live work, and visit. This vision extends to people and communities within East Renfrewshire where all the personnel and staff at both Clarkston and Barrhead Community Fire Stations are committed to providing a first rate service in both community safety and emergency intervention. We achieve this through the development of close links with the community and our partners.
We will work with households and businesses to make their properties safer places to live and work in. We achieve this through free Home Fire Safety Visits, which are available to all homes within East Renfrewshire; we also provide Fire Safety advice to businesses in order that they can protect their staff and customers from fire. We undertake youth involvement projects such as ‘Fire Reach’ and ‘Cut it Out’ which are aimed at young people and designed to develop personal skills and keep them safe from incidents such as Road Traffic Collisions.
One of our key aims is to communicate with our communities and their representatives to find out what areas of safety are of most concern and to gather views on how we can reduce these concerns. We are therefore very pleased to be working along side East Renfrewshire Neighbourhood Watch as we see this web site as an excellent opportunity further enhance our ability to communicate. Strathclyde Fire & Rescue welcomes the opportunity to have been involved in the development of this website and in the initiatives that East Renfrewshire Neighbourhood Watch has undertaken to boost community safety. We are keen to assist further with the development of this website and on projects which share our common goals.
