I have just noticed that they do not take note of minutes and I am outraged. Of all meetings this is one that we should be able to monitor. The current councillors on the board should be ashamed of themselves if they allow this to continue. It is a blatant attempt to prevent the public access to their meetings via FOI.

A review of FOI was requested. More details to follow.

Director of Environment gives wrong information to FOI request due to an 'oversight' -

'there was an oversight by the director in advising the officer dealing with the request that the report was in his possession at that time.'

The original FOI request was answered with -

'After consultation with our Planning Section and Property & Technical Services it has been confirmed that we do not have any of the information you have requested.'

Extract from review (more detailed summary to follow) -

Q. Why did the Director of Environment keep the information to themselves? -

A. The director wished to properly digest and consider the terms of the report prior to reaching any conclusions as to the recommendations he, as director in terms of his recognised delegations, wished to make to councillors for approval. He provided copies of the report to the officers he felt relevant to the matter.

Q. Please give reasons why the - A. Planning Section, B. Property & Technical Services, C.
