Don't confuse non activity with inactivity

If any of you readers have been watching Briefing Notes Facebook page you will have observed a splat of sorts, which is related to this thread, and this web site.

We fully intend to resurrect this thread and bring it up to date, hopefully early next week when we should be in possession of awaited material.

Meanwhile an update.

One person has made complaints in the past week about:-

• ERNHW Limited
• The Moderators - Friends of Huntly Park Facebook page
• The Moderators - Go Giffnock Facebook Page
• The Moderators - Briefing Notes
• A female community councillor from Giffnock
• The chair of Giffnock Community Council
• The entire Giffnock Community Council
• The Council Liaison officer with responsibility for Community Councils.

We have become aware that one person has been making unsubstantiated allegations that there have been contraventions of Section 127, Communications Act, 2002.

We have to at this stage declare our shock and horror at this persons apparent lack of knowledge and understanding of the legislation.

Section 127 (1) (A)
Improper use of public electronic communications network

A person is guilty of an offence if he—

(a) sends by means of a public electronic communications network a message or other matter that is grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character

Very important wording:_


grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character

This lad would appear to be hanging his evidence on the fact that HE CLAIMES some Socmed posts are 'Menacing', or \grossly \offensive.

Telling the truth is Menacing or Offensive?????????
