Provost Jim Fletcher, East Renfrewshire's First Resident was photographed on 15th August 2020 in Giffnock.
He was at an event to mark the 75th Anniversary of VJ Day, which was very honourable.
However questions have been raised regarding the alleged lack of social distancing engaged for the photo shoot.
FACTS have been in force since well before that date and continue today.
Some wonder if it is understandable why East Renfrewshire has new restrictions imposed on its residents due to Covid 19.
Remember FACTS for a safer Scotland:
F – Face coverings. These should be used in shops and on public transport (buses, trains and taxis)
A – Avoid crowded places
C – Clean your hands frequently, using water & soap whenever possible
T – Two metres – observe physical distancing
S – Self-isolate and book a test if you are suffering from COVID-19 symptoms

"The First Minister said: “The virus is spreading again - in the West of Scotland especially - and the rise in cases in these three areas is a particular concern.
“Our data suggests that spread in and between households is driving much of the transmission just now.
“Clinical advice is that restricting household gatherings indoors -
where it is most difficult to keep physical distance - is vital.
“Coupled with the extended advice on isolation for anyone with potential exposure to the virus, we hope these targeted measures will be sufficient to prevent further spread - if people comply with them."
Provost Fletcher has been asked to comment.
