Wow, it was like drawing teeth. Cllr Wallace asked if ERC were owed any monies promised and what were the council doing to compensate/ accomodate any shortfall.

It took repeated questions to get the council member of staff Miss Morrison to eventually say that ERC are short of £2 million promised to it by the Scottish Government in relation to Early Learning Etc.

At approx 21:08 into the recording regarding questions on problems with the new Council Website search facility by Cllr Ireland(who is chair of the Planning Committee), the Audit & Scrutiny Committee Chair Cllr Stewart Miller says these problems with the Council Website may be due to the Planning, and Audit & Scrutiny Committees having 'dodgy' Chairmen -

"Maybe it's because the Planning Committee and the Audit & Scrutiny Committee have both got dodgy chairmen"

Poor Cllr Barbara Grant says that the font on the new Council web site is too small, she is struggeling to read it, she want it made larger.

So two council staff are now having to go away and look at the 'accessabilty' sections to see what if anything they can do for her.

More time and possibly money for what - an old woman to cannot see properly.

There are a lot of us like that.

The answer is use you own screen to increase the font to the correct size for your own eyes.

Why did no one tell her this.

These are our leaders and paid staff, do they not know.
