I'm delighted to have been shortlisted for the twinned Scottish Parliament seats of Eastwood/Renfrewshire West!

I believe we need a Scottish Labour candidate who has a proven record of delivery.

It's been great to chat to members over the past few weeks about my vision for the future.

I look forward to the hustings on the 10 February.

This hustings is for Labour Party members to decide their candidate to be the Labour candidate in the 2026 Scottish Parliament elections.

Whoever is selected will work to engage with local voters and I am sure community groups will arrange hustings for candidates from all parties for local residents to question them.

Unfortunately last night wasn't my night.

You win some, you loose some.

I'm incredibly proud of what I've achieved over the last few years.

There's still plenty to do at council level and I will continue to serve the people of East Renfrewshire to the best of my ability!

Congratulations to Paul O'Kane who was selected as the Scottish Parliament candidate for Renfrewshire West and the Levern Valley and Kayleigh Quinn who was selected for Eastwood.
