A commemoration or an Ego Trip?

Definately an ego trip but why did no one stop this runaway train until the minister got involved. She seems to have been the only one to put the brakes on, why did ERC and the Polis not do it much earlier?

Very very sad that people in authority cannot see this guy for what he is, if senior police officers and elected members cannot read the signs then they should not be employed in that line of work.

This would be an absolute joke if it was not for the concerns about the family and what about his friends and the wider police community. It would appear that no consideration was given to them at all.

Walking all over peoples emotions and memories for your own self gain is despicable and shame on ERC and Carmichael for going along with it.

Water Mitty, Peter Pan and Coco the Clown all rolled into one come to mind.

I would not go near this community council with a barge pole.

D'Souza appears to be leading them all astray and they are willing participants along with every one else from Carmichael to senior ERC officers. At least the minister had the good sense to try to reign D'Souza in.

No thought for the family's feelings, no thought for the residents of the Thumb, basically no thought at all. This is not what community councils should be doing.

ERC seem to have money on tap to throw at D'Souza's schemes and roll out the provost at every available opportunity in a very public statement of support.

Which begs the question why this church service wasn't officially listed as one of his public engagements at the tax payer's expense?
