MONDAY 26 NOVEMBER 2012, ST NINIAN’S HIGH SCHOOL, 7.00-9.30pm
East Renfrewshire Council is holding an event to inform members of the local community about the financial challenges affecting the Council and provide an opportunity for discussion about potential savings options. Key service user groups and representative community groups are being invited to take part.
The event will be split into four discussion groups focusing on the following key service delivery areas – Education, Environment, Community Health and Care and Community Services.
As your group has an interest in xxxxxxxxxxxx you are invited to nominate a member of your group to take part in a discussion on potential savings options for these services.
This event is part of a wider process of community engagement. We are currently talking to a wide range of local people about their priorities for their area and you can also give your views through an online budget forum, which will be launched on the Council’s website on 16 November.
Please confirm whether a member of your group will be attending the event by Monday 12 November by completing the attached booking form and sending to Linda McLaughlan at

or telephone 0141 577 3033.
A briefing pack will be circulated detailing the budget options to registered participants on or around the 19 November. In order to ensure that participants receive the material as quickly as possible, we propose that these are emailed out rather than posted. Therefore when getting in touch to confirm attendance, participants are asked to provide a valid email address. If there are any issues with this please let us know and we can arrange a paper copy.
I look forward to receiving confirmations of attendance from your group.
Yours faithfully
LORRAINE MCMILLAN
